Panic Button (2nd Gen) Customizable Settings and Options

The Ring Alarm Panic Button (2nd Generation) has several customizable settings for your home security needs. Options include assigning the Panic Button to a room, naming the button, and setting the emergency response type (panic, medical, or fire).¹

Panic Button (2nd Generation) Device Settings and Options in the Ring App

  • Add the device to your Ring Alarm or Ring Alarm Pro and receive guided setup and installation instructions.
  • Give the device a name, assign it to a room, and set the emergency response* type.
  • Remove the device from your Ring Alarm or Ring Alarm Pro.
  • See the device state in the device list.
  • View battery information.
  • View event history related to the Panic Button.
  • Get help and FAQ information.

To Access Device Settings for the Panic Button (2nd Generation):

  1. On the dashboard of your Ring app, tap the main menu (3-lined icon at the top left corner).
  2. Tap
    Devices
    .
  3. Tap
    Alarm or Alarm Pro Base Station
    .
  4. Tap on the Panic Button you’d like to adjust.
  5. Tap
    Device Settings
    .

¹ A compatible Ring Protect subscription is required to enroll in the Ring Alarm professional monitoring service. Professional monitoring service is available only within the U.S. (all 50 states, but not U.S. territories) and in Canada (excluding Quebec). Ring does not own its own professional monitoring center.
