Safety and Compliance Information for Smart Lighting Spotlight Kit

WARNING: Small parts contained in your device and its accessories may present a choking hazard to small children.

This device requires batteries for use. Only use new 1.5V alkaline or 1.2 NiMH rechargeable D-sized batteries. Never mix old and new batteries. Keep all of the batteries out of the reach of children. Do not open, disassemble, puncture, cut, bend, shred or heat the batteries and do not allow metal objects to touch the battery terminals on the remote as they can become hot and cause burns. Remove all batteries if they are worn out or before storing your Device for an extended period of time. Dispose of all batteries in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and do not dispose of batteries by throwing them into a fire. If any batteries begin to leak, take steps to prevent the fluid from coming into direct contact with skin or clothes as the fluid could be corrosive and may be toxic. Remove the batteries and clean the battery compartment in accordance with the battery manufacturer's recommendations.

Maintaining Your Smart Lighting Spotlight Kit

Do not expose your Smart Lighting Bridge or adapter to liquids. If your Smart Lighting Bridge or adapter gets wet, carefully unplug all cables without getting your hands wet and wait for the device and adapter to dry completely before plugging them in again. Do not attempt to dry your device or adapter with an external heat source, such as a microwave oven or a hair dryer. If the device or adapter appear damaged, discontinue use immediately. Use only accessories supplied with the device to power your device. To avoid risk of electric shock, do not touch your device or any wires connected to your device during a lightning storm.

Do not attempt to clean or polish your adapter with or expose your adapter to oil, lotion, or other abrasive substances.

Use only accessories supplied with your device, or specifically marketed for use with your device, to power your device. Use of third-party accessories may impact your device’s performance. In limited circumstances, use of third-party accessories may void your device’s limited warranty. In addition, use of incompatible third-party accessories may cause damage to your device or the third-party accessory. Read all safety instructions for any accessories before using with your device.

Use the Ring Smart Lighting Bridge in dry rooms only. Do not cover the device while operating. Do not open the housing. Protect this device from sunlight. Disconnecting the plug will power the device off. Do not use the device if the plug or housing is defective, there is a risk of electric shock.

Other Safety Considerations

  • Do not force the adapter into a power outlet.
  • Do not expose the adapter or cable to liquids.
  • If the adapter or cable appears damaged, discontinue use immediately.

Install your power adapter into an easily accessible socket-outlet located near the equipment that will be plugged into or powered by the adapter.
