Here’s everything you need to know about charging the battery for your video doorbell or security camera.
Follow the steps below to check your battery charge in the Ring app.

Open the Ring app.

Tap the three lines (≡) on the top left.
- Tap Devices.
- Tap the Ring device you want to check.
- Tap Device Health.
- Battery Level is under Power.
When you remove your battery to charge it, the Ring app won’t show the device's updated battery percentage until the battery is reinserted and your device is reconnected to wifi. If the battery charge level is below 20%, it can take six to eight hours to fully recharge.
If you don't want to have any downtime while your battery is charging (Video Doorbells 3, 3 Plus and 4, you can purchase a spare.
