Ring Doorbell Flashing Light Patterns Guide

If you need to know what doorbell you have, use this link to find out in the Ring app. 

The light patterns below are for the Ring Video Doorbell (1st Generation), Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Generation), Ring Video Doorbell 3, Ring Video Doorbell 3 Plus, and Ring Video Doorbell 4.

Failed Setup - Ring Temporary Network Access Point 

White light flashing on the right -  The Ring Network is for setup only. When you complete setup you'll connect to your home wifi network and won't be connected to the Ring Network.

White light flashing on and off

Idle Mode

Solid white light - doorbell is idle. 

Note: This mode only applies when your doorbell is wired to your home electricity.
