Alarm Base Station having internet connectivity issues

If your Alarm Base Station can’t connect to the internet, you have a few options that may help.

Join another network

If you have your Ring Alarm Base Station and another wifi network or internet connection available, you can switch your Base Station to the new wifi network in order to reconnect to the internet. You’ll need the new wifi network and password in order to join, or an ethernet cable in order to plug in the Base Station.

Tap Join Network and follow the instructions.

Unregister the Base Station

If you don’t have the Base Station available, or if it’s not powering on and can’t be fixed, you can unregister the Base Station using the app.

We only recommend using this option when you want to completely remove the Base Station from your Ring account.

Note: All Z-Wave devices and Ring Alarm security devices will need to be factory reset before they can be added to a new Base Station.
