Chime Alerts are only available for devices at the same location.
Previously, Chime and Chime Pro devices could play sounds across multiple Ring device addresses. We've since improved this feature to give you more relevant Chime Alerts in the same location where Motion or Ring events occur.

How to set up Chime Alerts for your Chime or Chime Pro
Chime and Chime Pro can play audio alerts when motion is detected on your Ring device, or when someone presses your Ring doorbell. It's up to you which devices and types of events you want your Chime to alert you.

- Open the Ring app.
- Tap the top menu (☰) and then Devices.
- Select your Chime or Chime Pro device.
- Tap Audio Settings then Chime Alerts.
- Under each linked Ring device, you can select Motion Chime Alerts for doorbells and cameras, and Ring Chime Alerts for doorbells.
- Now when an event happens, your Chime at the same location will play a sound.

How to choose Chime Tones for your Chime or Chime Pro
Your Chime or Chime Pro can play different sounds for Motion and Ring events. Follow these steps in the Ring app to set up your favorite Chime Tones.

- Open the Ring app.
- Tap the top menu (☰) and then Devices.
- Select your Chime or Chime Pro device.
- Tap Audio Settings then Chime Tones.
- You'll see two tabs at the top of the screen: Rings and Motions.
- Tap Rings and select your favorite sound Chime will play when someone presses your doorbell. You'll hear an audio sample when chosen. You can also adjust the volume with the slider.
- Tap Motions and select your favorite sound Chime will play when motion is detected on your Ring doorbells and cameras. You can also adjust the volume with the slider.
Get audio alerts from Alexa
Select Echo devices can play Announcements for Motion and Ring Alerts detected on your Ring devices.
