Important: Video Doorbell Wired requires an existing doorbell as a power supply but does not sound your existing chime. To hear audio alerts in your home, pair with a Ring Chime or compatible Alexa device.

Yes. Video Doorbell Wired works with any other device created by Ring and can perform all the functions expected of a video doorbell in a security system, but is not compatible with non-Ring brand chimes.

Installation
I have an unusually shaped front yard. How do I aim Video Doorbell Wired in a direction other than straight ahead?
The Video Doorbell Wired can be adjusted to point in directions other than straight forward through the use of a wedge or corner kit.
There are two types of screws that came with my Video Doorbell Wired. What is each screw used for?
In the product packaging there are two long mounting screws and two security screws. The mounting screws are used to affix the mounting bracket to your door or wall. Once the device is installed, use the star-shaped end of the screwdriver bit to tighten the security screws into the bottom of the Ring Video Doorbell Wired faceplate to help deter theft.
Note: For your safety, use only the short security screws under the faceplate. Using any other type of screw could damage the battery and create a potential fire hazard.
