Neighbors is a free app from Ring that provides you with real-time crime and safety events delivered directly to your phone. You can easily share and communicate with your community about crime and safety issues impacting your neighborhood. Neighbors can be used alone but it’s also incorporated into the Ring Always Home app that you’re used to using.
Although most Ring neighbors enjoy their neighborhood feed, others want more streamlined information. So now, you have the option to disable the Neighbors feed and subsequent notifications from the Ring Always Home app.
What is the Neighbors app disable setting and how does it work?
The Neighbors disable setting allows you to disable the Neighbors feed and neighborhood notifications within the Ring app. Once the Neighbors feature is disabled, the Neighbors tile on the Ring app Dashboard will be removed and you will no longer receive Neighbors notifications. This includes safety alerts and information shared by neighbors and local public safety agencies. The Neighbors invitation options will also be removed from the Ring app Dashboard and menu.
