Adjusting the Video Recording Length for Wired Devices

If your wired Ring security camera detects a Motion Event and you have a Ring Protect Plan, your device will record¹ the motion for a set amount of time based on your video recording length setting.

On most Ring wired cameras, the video recording length is set to Auto. The Auto setting makes your recordings smarter, enabling your camera to record when motion begins and stop recording when it stops detecting the motion. Motion can be recorded for up to 120 seconds with this setting.
