Ring Smart LED Lightbulbs are part of the Ring Smart Lighting series of products and offer new ways to make your home more beautiful and secure by lighting up your property inside and out on your customized schedule and at your preferred light level day or night. The A19 and PAR38 Smart LED Lightbulbs can be turned on or off from the Ring app and connected to select Ring Video Doorbells and Ring security cameras to see what’s happening whenever your lights illuminate.

What Ring Smart LED Lightbulbs are available?
There are two different Smart LED Lightbulbs available at this time:
- The A19 Smart LED Bulb: This indoor/outdoor bulb is weather-resistant and offers a neutral white light that is the equivalent of a 60W incandescent bulb and includes adjustable brightness and custom light schedules (with a Ring Bridge, sold separately).
- The PAR38 Smart LED Bulb: An ultra-bright outdoor weather-resistant bulb perfect for illuminating outdoor areas with the equivalent of a 120W incandescent bulb. Includes adjustable brightness and custom light schedules (with a Ring Bridge, sold separately).
Do I need a Ring Bridge to utilize Ring LED Smart Lightbulbs?
Yes. Without the Ring Bridge, the Smart LED Lightbulbs will only function as standard light bulbs. With a Bridge, you can control and schedule your Smart LED Lightbulbs or group them with other Ring Smart Lighting products to trigger whenever motion is detected.
The Ring Bridge is the central hub that integrates Ring Smart Lights, Smart LED Lightbulbs, Motion Sensors, and Transformers into your Ring System. The Bridge connects the Ring app using your home wifi network and connects to other Ring Smart Lighting Products using a proprietary long-range communication system.
In addition, you can use your Ring app to create Groups of Smart Lights and Ring cameras that work together to enhance security. For example, if you group Ring Smart Lighting LED Bulbs with your Ring Video Doorbell you can turn on the lights as soon as motion is detected by your doorbell.
Are the Ring Smart LED Lightbulbs weather resistant?
Yes. The Ring A19 Smart LED Bulb is an indoor/outdoor bulb that can be used in damp locations such as porches and garages so long as it’s not directly exposed to water. The Ring PAR38 LED Lightbulb is suitable for wet locations where the bulb will be exposed directly to water such as rain.
