1. Run a Video Quality Test.

3. Add Some Shared Users.
If you have friends or family members you'd like to have access to your Ring Doorbell 3 Plus, you can add them as a "Shared User."

4. Customize your Motion Settings.
Adjust your Motion Settings to your specific requirements by selecting the Motion Settings option.
Ring is always working toward improving your home security experience. Beginning October 2020, we’ve begun releasing a new feature for battery-powered devices called Customizable Motion Zones. Customizable Motion Zones have been a standard feature on wired Ring devices for some time, but they will soon be an option for Ring neighbors using battery-powered devices.

5. Change Your Notification Settings.
Toggle alerts for Ring or Motion events on or off on this screen. You can also check the battery level of your Ring Doorbell 3 Plus in this section (even if your Ring Doorbell is wired, it still relies on the battery). Tap for more info on hardwired vs. battery powered operation.

6. Activate the Pre-Roll feature.
Foresight allows your Ring Doorbell 3 Plus to capture the crucial four seconds of activity before you receive a motion notification.
