Receiving calls from Ring Monitoring
Learn how to receive and manage emergency calls from the Ring Monitoring Center when your alarm sounds and you have added on Alarm Professional Monitoring.1
Understanding Contact Permissions
When you set up Ring Alarm, the Ring app asks for permission to access your contact list. This makes it easier to:
- Add emergency contacts
- Save the Ring Monitoring phone number
Note: Ring never saves or accesses other contacts on your phone. You can decline this permission and save the Ring Monitoring contact manually.
Saving the Ring Monitoring Center number
Make sure you and your emergency contacts save the Ring Monitoring Center phone number. If you receive a Monitoring Center call prior to saving this contact, you can verify the phone number: 833-209-2159.
Open the Ring app to the main dashboard.
Tap the menu (☰).
- TapSettings.
- TapProfessional Monitoring.
- TapAdd Ring Monitoring as Contact.
Setting up Emergency Calls
Make sure you and your emergency contacts can receive Ring Monitoring calls in Do Not Disturb mode.
iOS devices
- Open yourcontacts.
- FindRing Monitoring Center.
- TapEdit.
- SelectRingtone.
- Turn onEmergency Bypass.
Android devices
- OpenSettings.
- TapSound & vibration(or Notifications on some phones).
- TapDo Not Disturb.
- TapPeople.
- TapCalland select Ring Monitoring as an allowed contact.
Note for Android: If you use "Starred Contacts," tap the star icon on Ring Monitoring's contact screen to receive emergency calls.
