How to Update Your Push Notifications
Customize your push notifications to only see relevant posts.
In the Ring app:

- Tap the three lines (≡) on the top left.
- Tap Neighbors.
- Tap the gear icon on the upper right.
- Tap Customize Neighbors.
- Tap Push Notification Settings.
In the Neighbors app:
-
- Tap the three lines (≡) on the top left side of your dashboard.
- Tap Customize Neighbors.
- Tap Push Notification Settings.
- Tap Filter Alerts by Type.
- Tap the blue Advanced Filters button refine topics you want to be alerted to.
- Tap back to the Push Notification Settings screen to select Alert Tones, Schedule, Safety Report Notifications, or Comment Notifications.
How to Customize the Neighbors Feed
Here's how to customize your Neighbors feed.
In the Ring app:

- Tap the three lines (≡) in the top left.
- Tap Neighbors.
- Tap the gear icon on the upper right.
- Tap Customize Neighbors.
- Tap Content Settings.
- Tap the blue Advanced Filters button to choose and refine what topics you want to see in your feed.
Note: The topics you select also enable/disable push notifications for each topic.
In the Neighbors app:

- Tap on the three lines (≡) on the top left of your dashboard.
- Tap Customize Neighbors.
- Tap Content Settings.
- Tap the blue Advanced Filters button to refine what topics you want to see in your feed.

Want to find a post quickly without disrupting your settings?
- Option 1:
- Go to your Neighbors Feed.
- Tap the blue Quick Filters button above the first post on the feed.
- Select the Category, Distance, or Time of alerts you'd like to see.
- Option 2:
- Go to your Neighbors Feed.
- Under each post's title and description, the post category appears.
- Tap on the category to view a list of all posts in your feed under that category.
How to Edit Your Email Settings

- Tap on the three lines (≡) in the top left.
- Tap Neighbors.
- Tap the gear icon on the upper right.
- Tap Customize Neighbors.
- Tap Email Notification Settings.
- Select Notification Settings – Daily, Weekly, or Off.
In the Neighbors app:

How to Only See Nearby Posts
Only see nearby posts from a selected area in your feed.
In the Ring app:

- Tap on the three lines (≡) on the left.
- Tap the Neighbors button.
- Go to Neighbors Settings.
- Tap Customize Neighbors.
- Tap Customize Neighborhood Area.
- Drag the slider left/right to make your neighborhood area larger or smaller.
- Press and slide your finger over one of the eight radius dots to customize your neighborhood shape.
In the Neighbors app:

- On your neighborhood feed, tap the three lines (≡) in the top left corner.
- Scroll down and tap on Customize Neighbors.
- Tap Customize Neighborhood Area.
- Drag the slider left/right to make your neighborhood area larger or smaller.
