Neighbors App Information

 What is Neighbors?

Neighbors is a free app from Ring that provides you with real-time crime and safety events delivered directly to your phone. You can easily share and communicate with your community about crime and safety issues impacting your neighborhood. By working together, we can pursue our mission to make neighborhoods safer for our families, friends and neighbors.

Neighbors is currently available in the US as an iOS, Android and FireOS app. Neighbors is also available in the Ring App on iOS and Android in the US. Existing account holders will have access to Neighbors for Web.

Ring.com and Neighbors account holders can also enjoy Neighbors on desktop and mobile browsers. After you have created an account through the mobile app, you can access Neighbors for Web on a desktop or mobile browser. Go to Ring.com or directly to Neighbors to login. Neighbors for Web has limited functionality, but users can still get important safety information through their local feed and map.

What can I do with the Neighbors App?

The Neighbors app uses your address to create a radius around your home. When posting or commenting on Neighbors, your real identity is not published but the post is made public to other Neighbors App users. If anyone shares a post on the app about crime or safety within that radius, you’ll get a notification on your phone and tablet. Conversely, if you share a post on the app about a crime or safety issue in your radius, your neighbors will also get a notification on their phones and tablets. You can then comment on these posts to provide additional information about local issues, give tips to avoid affected areas and share photos or videos to help neighbors stay safe and informed.
