Note: This is a new feature for neighbors who have signed up for professional monitoring.
Sometimes life happens, and you can’t disarm your Ring Alarm within the entry delay time to prevent the alarm from going off. Accidental alarms can happen, but if you disarm before the monitoring center calls, no calls are made to your emergency contacts, and emergency responders are not dispatched.
We’ve added a new feature called the Confirmation Call to give you peace of mind.
When you turn on the Confirmation Call, your first emergency contact will get an automated phone call if you disarm your Ring Alarm after the alarm sounds, but before the monitoring center calls.
Turning on or off the Confirmation Call:
- Open the app.
- Tap on the Menu.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Monitoring Settings.
- Toggle the Confirmation Call setting on or off.
Note: All professionally monitored Ring Alarm systems will have this setting off by default.
This feature is available to neighbors within US and Canada (excluding Quebec) with Ring Alarm and professional monitoring. It is also available when in 7-Day Practice Mode.
