Amazon Key - Works With Ring

Amazon Key allows you to be key-free by putting security, convenience, and control in the hands of homeowners. With a Ring security camera, customers can record in-garage delivery clips by linking their Amazon and Ring accounts in the Key app.

You can also lock and unlock your Key compatible smart locks directly from the live feed of your camera in the Ring app. For example, if the dog sitter arrives and chimes your Ring Video Doorbell, you can pull up the live feed, verify it’s your sitter, and unlock your lock with the push of a button in the Ring app.

This article will give you basic information on the Amazon Key integration with Ring.

Where can I find Amazon’s support page for Amazon Key and in-garage deliveries?

The support page for Amazon Key can be found by visiting this page.

What can I do with Key in the Ring app?

If you’re interested in in-garage delivery, after linking your Ring video doorbell and camera in the Key app, you can view Key delivery video clips in your Ring app camera event history. Use the Ring app to watch the live delivery when the Key app notifies you of a delivery.

For access control, link your Ring video doorbell and security camera with your Key lock in the Ring app, to lock and unlock your door directly from the Ring app live view. You can also manage this functionality in your Key lock settings in your video doorbell and security camera dashboard.

What functionality is available in the Ring app and Key app respectively?

The Key app allows you:

  • Receive packages from Amazon.
  • Upload a photo to show drivers where you want your packages delivered.
  • Secure, convenient control over access to your home.
  • To let into your home friends and family who arrived a little early.
  • Set a schedule for dog sitters and house guests.
  • Assign one-time pins to apartment cleaners and maintenance technicians.

The Ring App allows you to monitor your home via your Ring cameras no matter where you are, and lock/unlock your Key-compatible smart lock.
