Setting up your Dome Siren in the Ring App is a very simple process. Scroll down for a step-by-step guide.
Before You Start
If there is an update available for your Ring App, please update it before you begin. Remind any shared users to update their app too. Updating the app ensures that everyone on your account will be able to see this new device.
Open the side menu by tapping the three parallel lines in the upper left-hand side of the screen.
- Tap "Set Up a Device."
- Tap "Security Devices."
- Tap "Sirens."
- Note: Do not select "Alarms."
- Tap "Dome Siren"
- Tap "Ready."
Open the back cover of the Dome Siren by twisting the back cover into an unlock position and pry the cover off the siren. When the cover is off, tap "Next" on the app.
Remove the battery tab located at the end of one of the batteries. This turns the siren on. Tap the "Add" button and your Alarm Base Station should find the Siren automatically.
Note: Do not remove the tab the middle of the batteries. The correct tab says in very small letters "Remove before use."
Note: If the siren does not pair successfully, try the pairing process again. Start by following the in-app instructions. When it’s time to pull the battery tab, simply remove and reinsert your battery to complete this process.
After your Dome Siren is added to the system, you will tap the "Done" button. Next you will see the Device Configuration screen.
To make no changes, tap the "Done" button.
To add your Dome Siren to a room, or change the name to something else, tap the Dome Siren.
On the Device Profile screen, you can tap Name and Room to customize the siren.
- Tap 'Name", and enter your own name for the Dome Siren and tap "Save."
- Tap "Room" to specify which room will have this Dome Siren, and tap "Save" in the upper right corner.
Note: You can select a room from the list, or add your own room name by tapping the "Add Room" button.
When you’ve finished setting up the Dome Siren, select the back arrow to return to the Device Configuration screen, and then tap "Done."
