Changing Your Ring Account Password

Learn how to update the password you use to sign in to your Ring account.

Do not share your password with anyone.
No Ring employee, Customer Support Associate, or Community Manager will ever ask you for your password.

Updating your Ring account Password

You can change your Ring account password in the Ring app or your account at Ring.com.

I forgot my Ring account password

From the Ring app:

    1. Open the Ring app.
    2. Tap the menu (☰) and scroll down to Control Center.
    3. Tap Account Management.
    4. Under Password, tap Update.
    5. Re-enter your current password.
    6. Enter your sign-in code. Help me find my verification code.
    7. Enter and confirm your new password. See password tips.
    8. Tap Change Password.
    9. For your security, you'll be signed out of your Ring account on all devices.
    10. Sign in to the Ring app again.

From your desktop or mobile browser:

    1. Log in to your account at Ring.com.
      • If you're on desktop: tap the Dashboard home icon at the top, then Account.
      • If you're on mobile: tap the top menu (☰).
    2. Scroll down to Control Center.
    3. Click Account Management.
    4. Under Password, click Update.
    5. Re-enter your current password.
    6. Enter your sign-in code. Help me find my verification code.
    7. Enter and confirm your new password. See password tips.
    8. Tap Change Password.
    9. For your security, you'll be signed out of your Ring account on all devices.
    10. Sign in to your Ring account again.
