Adding, Editing, or Removing a Payment Method in Your Ring Account

If you would like to add, edit or remove a payment method to your Ring account, this can be done  through the Ring.com website on a computer or mobile browser.

Note: At this time, you cannot manage payment methods from the Ring app.

Follow the instructions below to update your account from a computer or laptop

If you are using a mobile device to access Ring.com scroll down for instructions.  

From a Computer or Laptop:  

  • Go to Ring.com 
  • Click Log In on the upper right side of the page. 
  • Log in using the same email and password that you use for your Ring app. 
    • You'll be asked to verify your account using Two-Step Verification.
    • Depending upon the way your account is set up, you'll get a verification code via email or text message.
    • If you can't remember your password select Forgot Password? and follow the prompts. 
  • Once you're logged in, click on Account on the top right
  • Then click on Manage Account. 

If you have not added a payment method yet:

  •  Select Add New on the right.

If you have a payment method that you need to Remove or Update:

  • Go to Ring.com 
  • Click Log In on the upper right side of the page. 
  • Log in using the same email and password that you use for your Ring app. 
    • You'll be asked to verify your account using Two-Step Verification.
    • Depending upon the way your account is set up, you'll get a verification code via email or text message.
    • If you can't remember your password select Forgot Password? and follow the prompts. 
  • Once you're logged in, click on Account on the top right
  • Then click on Manage Account. 
  • If you have a payment method attached to your account you can select Update.
  • You can Remove Payment Method or Replace Payment Method.
  • After you update the payment information, click Save Payment.

Important Note: Deleting the credit card attached to Ring Protect Plan, by removing it, will cause your Ring Protect Plan to be canceled. 

From a Mobile Device go to Ring.com:

  • Login to Ring.com using the same email and password that you use for your Ring app. 
    • You'll be asked to verify your account using Two-Step Verification.
    • Depending upon the way your account is set up, you'll get a verification code via email or text message.
    • If you don't remember your Ring password, select Forgot password? (below the Sign In button) to reset it.
  • Once you're logged in, click on the three lines to the left of the Ring logo.
  • Tap on Account.
  • Scroll down to  update My Payment Method. 
    • You can Remove or Replace your Payment Method using the options on the bottom of the screen.

Note: You can also Link or Unlink your Amazon account from the My Account screen. 

Ring Protect Plan Subscriptions through Amazon.com

If you purchased your subscription through Amazon.com, You can change or update your payment method by going to Your Memberships & Subscriptions

Payment methods on Ring.com will not be used for your Ring Protect Plan subscription payment if you have subscribed on Amazon.com. Your payment method on Ring.com will only be used for one time charges, such as alarm and permit fees.

If you subscribed to the Ring Protect Plan on Amazon.com, you will see messaging reflecting this information on the My Accounts page.
