Add, Change, or Remove Payment Method for a Ring Protect Subscription

You can add, change, or remove the payment information used to pay for a Ring Protect subscription. When you update your payment information, all Ring Protect subscriptions will be charged to that credit/debit card going forward. You can update payment information from Ring.com or Amazon.com, depending on where you purchased your subscription.

Things to Know

  • A Ring account may only have one subscription payment method on-file.
  • Adding a new payment method doesn’t subscribe you to a Ring Protect Plan. Need help subscribing?
  • If you subscribed to your plan through Amazon.com, you must update your payment information in your Amazon Memberships & Subscriptions.
  • Only the Account Owner can update or remove a payment method on Ring.com.

Update payment method on Amazon.com

For Ring Protect subscriptions purchased through Amazon.com, you can update payment information on Amazon.com. To do this, log in to your Amazon account, then go to Account & Lists > Memberships & Subscriptions.

If you subscribed to a plan through Amazon.com and change your payment information on your Ring account, this will not affect how your plan is charged; you must change your payment information on Amazon.com. Your payment method on Ring.com will only be used for one-time charges, such as alarm and permit fees.
