Ring Video Doorbell 2 on a modern home's front door.

Fix Lens Flares on Your Ring Video Doorbell 2

If your Video Doorbell 2 video has a lens flare, it may be because your doorbell is installed on a surface that is bordered by brickwork or other wall sidings that protrude an inch or so above the level of the Ring Video Doorbell 2.

At night, this causes the infrared light to reflect off the brickwork and create a series of lens flares that will be visible on the recordings.

This can be solved by using a Wedge Kit to change the angle of the Ring Video Doorbell 2 and placing the camera above the level of the brickwork.
