How much does shipping for Ring Chime cost?
There is no extra charge for shipping a Ring Chime if ordered and bundled in the same shipment as a Ring. If the Ring Chime is being shipped separately, shipping costs are $4.95 Domestic, and $9.95 International (excluding additional customs or other fees).

How does Ring Chime work?

Yes, Ring Chime can be configured to play a notification sound when Ring Doorbell detects motion.
How does Ring Chime connect to Ring Video Doorbell?
Ring Chime connects to 802.11 b/g/n 2.4 Ghz WIFI just like Ring Video Doorbell and can be paired to any number of Ring Video Doorbells. You can also pair multiple Ring Chime units to one Ring Video Doorbell. Once connected to your Ring Video Doorbell, your Ring Chime will work anywhere it has a Wi-Fi connection, even in another location.
Will Ring Chime flash when triggered?
Ring Chime does not flash when triggered.
Does Ring Chime have a battery?
Ring Chime is designed to plug into a standard US, UK, or EU power outlet. Ring Chime does not contain a battery.
What power voltages does Ring Chime work with?
Ring Chime has an internal power regulator for compatibility with US, UK, and European Union standard power currents. Units shipped to the UK or European Union come with compatible power plugs. Note: Australian power plug adapter is available, contact customer support to request one.
Can you choose a different chime sound or set your own chime sound?
Ring Chime plays the same tones as the Ring App for call alerts and motion notifications from your Ring Doorbell.
Can you change the volume of the chime? Can you turn the chime off?
Yes you can change the volume of your Ring Chime unit and configure which doorbells will trigger Chime. If you do not want to trigger Chime, it's easy to turn off the connection from the Device Settings of either your Ring Doorbell or Ring Chime.
Does Ring Chime allow me to communicate with someone in front of my Ring Video Doorbell?
Ring Chime contains a speaker only. Ring Video Doorbell real-time communication occurs via the Ring app on iPhone, iPad, or Android devices.
How do I update settings for Ring Chime?
Ring Chime settings are configured using the same Ring app used for the Ring Video Doorbell. Firmware updates happen automatically over-the-air.
Are there any lights on the Ring Chime unit?
Yes. Blue LEDs illuminate steady to indicate normal operation and pulse when in setup mode.
What finishes/color options are available for Ring Chime?
Ring Chime is available in a white high gloss finish.
How do you set up Ring Chime to work with Ring Video Doorbell?
Ring Chime is configured in the same method as Ring Video Doorbell. When plugged in for the first time Ring Chime will enter setup mode and the blue LEDs will flash. Users then connect their iOS or Android device to Chime-XXXXX network, then back to their normal connection. To restart the setup process or connect Ring Chime to another network, push and hold the reset button by gently inserting the special security screwdriver small hole on the right side of the unit. When the blue LED flashes slowly the device is in setup mode.

What type of WiFi Network is a Ring Chime Compatible With?
Ring Chime is compatible with 802.11 b/g/n 2.4ghz networks. Ring Chime supports WPA2, WPA, Open and 64 bit WEP Encryption (hex key only).
We recommend use of WPA2 encryption for best results.
Should I set up Ring Video Doorbell or Ring Chime first?
Set up Ring Video Doorbell first, then set up Ring Chime. After both devices are active and on the Wi-Fi network, use the Ring App to associate Ring Chime to Ring Video Doorbell units. You will be prompted by the Ring App to associate your Ring Chime to one or more Ring Video Doorbells during the last step of the WiFi setup process.
