Downloading the Ring App

The following link: ring.com/app will automatically begin downloading the correct version for your operating system.

Note: The Ring app is free, but you may need your username and password for your device's store page to download the app.

If you would rather go directly to the app page for your device, use one of the links below for your operating system:

Note: The Ring app is no longer supported on the Windows 10 mobile device platform. The app will continue to function on desktops, tablets, and laptops running the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update.

Updating the Ring App

If you want to ensure that you have the latest version of the Ring app so that you can get the most out of your Ring devices, use one of the links below to get updates.  

Note: If you want to see what version you have, open the Ring app and tap the three lines on the top left. The small number under Help is the app version.   

Note: Ring Windows and Mac and desktop apps are no longer receiving updates for new devices and features.

Unsupported devices and features include the following:

  • Video Doorbell Wired
  • Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2
  • Ring Video Doorbell 4
  • Video end-to-end encryption
  • Amazon account linking
  • Geofence

Please note that while certain features and products are no longer supported by the desktop apps, the apps will continue to receive critical security and bug updates.
