Add or Update Payment Method for Virtual Security Guard

You can update the payment information used to pay for your subscriptions on Ring.com. When you update your payment information, your Virtual Security Guard1 and Ring Protect Pro subscriptions will be charged to the new credit/debit card going forward.

Things to Know

  • A Ring account can only have one subscription payment method on-file.

  2. Select Account > Manage Account.
  3. Next to My Payment Method, select Add New.
  4. Enter your payment information and select Continue.
Your payment method has been saved. Your Virtual Security Guard and Ring Protect Pro subscriptions will be charged to this card from now on.

How do I add new devices to Virtual Security Guard?
After you purchase your subscription, you’ll be able to authorize new devices during setup. If you add a new compatible device at a later date, you can enroll the device in the Virtual Security Guard section of your Control Center in the Ring app.

1 Virtual Security Guard is available only within the U.S. (all 50 states, but not U.S. territories), and is an add-on service that requires enrollment, and the following (all sold separately): a subscription fee per enrolled location in addition to a compatible Ring Protect plan, a Ring Alarm system, enrollment in Ring Alarm professional monitoring, and at least 1 eligible device. Rapid Response is the seller and provider of the camera motion person detection monitoring service and agents. Ring bills your Ring account for this service. Virtual Security Guard subscription fee includes 175 monitored camera motion person detection events per month. Opt into Extra Events for an additional cost. Ring Alarm sensors are not monitored by Virtual Security Guard (Alarm sensors only trigger Alarm professional monitoring). Learn more here.
