The Ring Video Doorbell Elite Exchange Policy

Question: Is the Ring Video Doorbell Elite an upgrade from the Ring Video Doorbell Pro?

Answer: No. The Ring Video Doorbell Elite is not an upgrade or a replacement for the Ring Video Doorbell Pro. It's an entirely new product with updated features. Each product has its advantages and are best used in different situations.

Question: Can I upgrade or exchange my Ring Video Doorbell Pro to a Ring Video Doorbell Elite? I'm willing to pay the difference.

Answer: No. The Ring Video Doorbell and the Ring Video Doorbell 2 are two entirely separate products and therefore two entirely separate purchases. There is no "upgrade" or "exchange" policy from one product to another. 

Question: I purchased a Ring Video Doorbell Pro less than 30 days ago from Ring.com. Can I exchange it for a Ring Video Doorbell Elite?

Answer: No. However, as long as you are within the 30-day return window for Ring products, you can request a refund for your original Ring Video Doorbell Pro and then purchase a Ring Video Doorbell Elite, but these are two entirely separate transactions. 

Question: I purchased a Ring Video Doorbell Pro from a retailer. Can I exchange it for a Ring Video Doorbell Elite?

Answer: No. If you are within the retailer's return window, you can return your Ring Video Doorbell Pro to the retailer and then purchase a new Ring Video Doorbell Elite. Ring or Ring.com cannot provide a refund as it is not the original point of purchase.
