Ring Video Doorbell 2 on a modern home's front door.

Installing the Wedge Kit and Corner Mount for Ring Video Doorbell 2

Different mounts have different measurements. Make sure to get the right mounting accessory for the Ring video doorbell model you have.

What is a Wedge Kit?

A wedge kit is an optional accessory used to angle your Ring Video Doorbell 2 down five degrees. If you installed your Ring Video Doorbell 2 higher than the optimal installation height of four feet off the ground, the wedge kit can improve your view. It can also reduce motion events from passing traffic and ensure you capture approaching visitors if your Ring Video Doorbell 2 is up a staircase, installed on angled siding, or facing a busy street.

If you have another kind of doorbell, you'll need a wedge or corner mount that is specifically designed for that doorbell. The installation process of the wedge kit and corner mount is essentially the same for all Ring doorbells.
