Step One - Remove Your Existing Doorbell Button

Shut off power to your doorbell at the breaker. Then remove your existing doorbell button and disconnect the wires.

WARNING: Electrical shock hazard. Disconnect power to installation area at your circuit breaker or fuse box before beginning installation. Always use caution when handling electrical wiring.

Installation by a qualified electrician may be required in your area. Refer to your local laws and building codes before performing electrical work; permits plus professional installation may be required by law.

Step Two - Mount the Bracket

  • Click the level tool (included in the box) into the mounting bracket.
  • Place the mounting bracket so that you can access the wires for power.
  • Level the mounting bracket using the level tool.
  • Drive the screws into the holes.
    • If mounting on a masonry surface, use the mounting bracket as a template to mark pilot holes.
    • Drill holes and insert the anchors.
  • Remove the level tool from the mounting bracket.

Step Three - Connect the Wires

Connect the wires to the screws on the mounting bracket. It doesn't matter which order the wires are connected, just be sure the wires don't touch each other.
