The videos that are recorded through your Ring device can be shared with friends, family and neighbors via your Ring app. You can share videos to a variety of web and social media platforms or download videos to a computer or mobile device.
The rest of this article will detail the various ways to share and save your Ring videos.
Note: In order to share and save Ring Videos you must have a Ring Protect Plan subscription.

Sharing your Ring Videos on a Mobile Device
- Open your Ring app and tap the three lines on the top left.
- Select the Ring device you wish to download a video from.
- Tap Event History.
- Scroll to the video you wish to share.
- On the Recent Activity screen, tap the arrow on the far right of the event.
- Tap the Share icon below the video on the bottom right. It looks like a box with an arrow coming out of the top of it.
- A menu will pop up that shows a Facebook icon, NextDoor.com logo, email envelope, text message symbol and download icon.
- To share to the Ring Neighbors app, tap the blue button below the icons that says Notify Neighbors and follow the prompts.
- You must have the Ring Neighbors app activated on your account to share videos with neighbors.
- You can select any of these options and follow the prompts to share a video.
Sharing or Downloading a Video on a Computer
Sharing
- Log into your Ring account at ring.com/account.
- Select the History tab.
- Click on the video you want to share.
- Click the arrow icon on the bottom right of the video for Share options.
- Follow the prompts to share a video.
Downloading
- Log into your web account at ring.com/account.
- Select the History tab.
- Click on the downward arrow icon on the bottom right of the video to download a video.
- The video will automatically download to your computer.
Note: Adding a star to a video is a way of organizing videos so you can find the important ones faster. Putting a star by a video is not the same as downloading. Videos with a star next to them may be deleted at the end of the video storage period if they're not downloaded.
Downloading multiple videos
You can download up to 20 videos at a time by following these instructions:
- Log in to your account on ring.com.
- Click History
- Click Manage Events
- Select the videos you want to save.
- Click Download
The videos will be saved to your computer as a zip file. Once unzipped, each .mp4 file can be opened and viewed individually. Videos will be time stamped.
Note: This feature is not yet available on the Ring core app.
Important: If you are logging into your Ring account for the first time on a computer, you may recieve a one-time security challenge that will ask you for a one-time passcode. You can get a one-time passcode from your mmobile device via a text message.

Sharing or Downloading a Video on a Mobile Device
Log into your web account at ring.com/account.
Use the same username and password that you use for the Ring app.
Tap on the three lines on the top left of the Dashboard screen.
- Tap History.
- Tap the video you want to share.
- Tap the icon with the upward arrow in the URL box, to the right of account.ring.com
- Select the place where you want to share or download the video and follow the prompts.
Sharing a Ring Video with the Ring Team
If you have a particularly interesting video, you can share it with the Ring team for a chance to be featured!
- Log into your web account at ring.com/account.
- Click on the Dashboard tab.
- Click on the video you wish to share on the left sidebar.
- Click on the grey Share button to below your video.
- Click on the e-mail envelope.
- Send the file to submissions@ring.com.
If you see a video that you feel might be a problem, follow the same steps as listed above but on the final step, send the file to support@ring.com.
