Sharing Your Ring Videos

 

Question: Can I share the the videos recorded through my Ring device with my friends and family?

Answer: Yes! The videos you record through your Ring device can be shared with friends and family through your Ring app to a variety of web and social media applications.

The rest of this article will detail the various ways to share and save your Ring Videos. Note that in order to share and save Ring Videos you must have a Ring Video Recording subscription. Click here for details on Ring Video Recording Subscriptions.

Sharing a Ring video with family and friends

To share a Ring video:

  •      Open up your Ring app on your mobile device.
  •      Select the Ring device you wish to share a video from.
  •      Tap the “Event History” option/button underneath the “Live View” bar.
  •      Select the video you wish to share.
  •      Tap the “Share” button in the bottom right corner of the video.
  •      Select your method of sharing the video.

Sharing a Ring video with my Neighborhood

  •      Open up your Ring app on your mobile device.
  •      Select the Ring device you wish to share a video from.
  •      Tap the “Event History” option/button underneath the “Live View” bar.
  •      Select the video you wish to share.
  •      Tap the “Neighborhood” button in the bottom right corner of the video.
  •      Share the video.

Note: You must have Ring Neighborhoods activated on your Ring app in order to share videos with your neighborhood.

Sharing a Ring Video with the Ring Community Support or Media Team 

If you have a particularly interesting video, you can share it with the Ring Media team and if we use it in an advertisement, we'll give you a year's worth of Ring Video Recording for free!

You can also share problematic video images with Ring Community Support.  

  • Log into your web account at ring.com/account.
  • Click on the “Activity” tab.
  • Click on the video you wish to share on the left side bar.
  • Click on the grey "Share With" button to below your video.
  • Click on "Share With Ring Media Team" or "Share With Ring Community Support"

Accessing my Ring videos on the Web

 Log into your web account at ring.com/account.

  • Click on the “Activity” tab.
  • Click on the video you wish to share on the left side bar.
  • Click on the “Get Link” button to access your video’s Ring Video URL.

Storing my Ring videos as a file

On iOS devices:

  •     Open up your Ring app on your mobile device.
  •     Select the Ring device you wish to share a video from.
  •     Tap the “Event History” option/button underneath the “Live View” bar.
  •     Select the video you wish to share.
  •     Swipe left on the video.
  •     Tap the "Save Video" option.

On Android Devices

  •     Open up your Ring app on your mobile device.
  •     Select the Ring device you wish to share a video from.
  •     Tap the “Event History” option/button underneath the “Live View” bar.
  •    Select the video you wish to share.
  •    Tap the "Download" option on the bottom right.

On the Web

  • Log into your web account at ring.com/account.
  • Click on the “Activity” tab.
  • Click on the video you wish to share on the left side bar.
  • Click on the light blue “Download” button to download your file.

Uploading Ring Videos to YouTube

Once downloaded to your device or PC as a file, Ring Videos can be uploaded to YouTube.
