How to Use Level Bolt and Level Touch in the Ring App

The Level Bolt and Level Touch are smart locks designed to fit easily into a deadbolt opening and blend naturally with the style of a home. 

You can access your Level Bolt and Level Touch functions inside the Ring app by linking your Level app with your compatible Ring Wired Video Doorbell Pro (Video Doorbell Pro 2) and Floodlight Cam Wired Plus. You also need to connect your Amazon account to your Ring app and enable Amazon Sidewalk.

How to Set up a New Level Device in the Ring App

These are the steps that need to be completed to set up your new Level device in the Ring app.

If you already have a Level device installed, go to the instructions on this page for Connecting Your Existing Level Device to Amazon Sidewalk

1. Set up the Level app.
2. Set up your Level Bolt or Level Touch in the Level app and select Works with Ring during set up and connect your lock with Amazon Sidewalk.
3. Ensure your Ring app is updated. If you don’t know how to ensure you have the latest version of the Ring app, you can go to

   Downloading and Updating the Ring App.
4. Link your Amazon account to your Ring app.
5. If you’re not sure if your accounts are linked, you can verify in the Ring app using the instructions on this page under

   How to Check if Your Amazon Account and Ring Account are Linked.

   Note: If you know your Ring account and Amazon account are linked, move to the next step.
6. Link your Level Bolt or Level Touch in the Ring app.

Step One - Set up the Level App

If you haven’t set up your Level app yet, you can find instructions on How to Install the Level app using this link.

Step Two - Set up your Level Bolt or Level Touch in the Level app and Connect to Amazon Sidewalk

When you first connect your new lock to Level app, you’ll be asked if you would like to connect to Amazon Sidewalk:

1. Select Amazon Sidewalk and tap continue.

2. Tap Continue Again after the Works with Ring message.

3. Tap continue to enter your Amazon account login information, and then tap Sign-In.

4. Wait while set-up completes and then tap continue when you see the Completed message.

5. Congratulations, your new lock is now set up to work with Amazon Sidewalk.

Connecting Your Existing Level Lock to Amazon Sidewalk

Verify that your Level app is on version 1.15.5.91 or later, and your Level device firmware is on version 2.23 or later.

The Level app version can be found by navigating to the Menu, and then tapping Help.

Device firmware version can be found by going to the individual lock settings (gear icon on the lock tile) and scrolling down to Firmware Version.

If either needs to be updated, please complete those steps before continuing.

1. Choose the lock you would like to connect to Sidewalk.
2. Go to the lock settings menu (gear icon on the lock tile).
3. Scroll down and tap

   Works With.
4. Select

   Amazon Sidewalk

   and

   Continue.
5. Use the same Amazon account that you linked/will link in the Ring app.
6. Tap Sign-In to complete the process.
7. Congratulations, your new lock is set up to work with Amazon Sidewalk.
8. Choose the lock you would like to connect to Sidewalk.

Step Three - Update your Ring App

If you don’t know how to ensure you have the latest version of the Ring app, you can go to Downloading and Updating the Ring App.

Step Four - Link Your Amazon Account to Your Ring App

Step Five - If you’re not sure if your Amazon and Ring accounts are linked, you can verify in the Ring app using the instructions below.

If you know your Ring account and Amazon account are linked, move to Step Six (Linking your Level Device in the Ring App).

How to Check if your Ring Account and Amazon Account are Linked

If you’re not sure if your Amazon account is linked to your Ring account:

• Open the Ring app.
• Tap the

  three lines

  on the top left.
• Tap

  Account

  in the side menu
• In

  Account Settings,

  look for

  Linked Accounts
  • Follow the prompts to link your account
    • You’ll need the password for your Ring account and Amazon account 
    • If your Ring account and Amazon account are linked, you’ll see Amazon under Linked Accounts with your email address
    • If your Amazon account is not linked, you’ll see

      Link your Amazon Account
  • Once your accounts are linked you’ll see a message,

    Success! Accounts linked

Once your Ring account and Amazon account have been linked and Amazon Sidewalk is enabled, you can link your Level app to your Ring app.

Step Six - Linking your Level Device in the Ring App

Make sure you have completed the required steps of setting up your device in the Level app, are connected to Amazon Sidewalk and have the latest version of the Ring app.

1. Open the

   Ring app

   .
2. Tap the

   three lines

   in the upper left corner of the screen.
3. Tap

   Set up a Device.
4. Scroll down and tap

   Locks and Access Control.
5. In the

   Lock Partners

   Section, tap

   Level Lock.
6. Follow the steps to link your Amazon and Ring accounts if they're not linked already.
7. Follow the steps to link your Ring and Level accounts.
8. Once you've completed the linking, you'll see a tile for your lock on the home screen of your Ring app.
