Can I purchase Ring spare part kits in a retail store?

Ring Alarm spare part kits are not available in retail stores. However, these devices can be requested by our Customer Service team, which can be contacted here. If you need additional replacement tape, we recommend purchasing 3M™ VHB™ Tape 4945 from your local hardware store. 

I accidentally pulled all of the device tabs at once while setting up my Ring Alarm. What should I do?

What is cellular backup? 

If you subscribe to Ring Protect Plus, your Base Station will have cellular backup to protect your home even if the internet goes down. This feature is enabled by a SIM card that Ring will provide. 

I’m still not sure how to set the entry delay or exit delay properly for my different doors. What do these settings mean and why do they matter?

What is Assisted Monitoring, and is that the same thing as Ring Protect Plus? What if I already have the Ring Protect Basic plan? I need some help understanding the differences.

Assisted Monitoring is a service from Ring that monitors your home alarm, and which will automatically call you if your Alarm is triggered. If you don’t pick up the call, it will begin calling your next pre-defined emergency contact. In order to make use of Assisted Monitoring for your home, you need a subscription to Ring Protect Plus. The plan offers a variety of other benefits too, including cellular backup for your Base Station (in case your internet goes down), video storage for your Ring cameras, warranties and discounts on Ring.com.

My Android phone isn’t showing notifications right away, or at all. How do I fix this?

Can I change the volume of my Base Station? Does this change the volume for the siren as well?

While the siren will always play at max volume you can change the volume for the entry/exit delays, as well as chirps, from the Base Station’s device page.  

To change the volume of your Base Station:

  • Go to the Menu.
  • Tap Devices.
  • Tap Alarm Base Station.
  • Tap Base Station.
  • Tap Audio Settings.
  • Then adjust the volume settings as needed.

How do I change the volume on the Keypad? Does this also change the volume for the siren?  Can the Keypad play chirps?

Like the Base Station, the siren will always play from the Keypad at max volume.

To adjust the device’s entry/exit delay sounds:

  • Go to the Menu.
  • Tap Devices.
  • Tap Alarm Base Station.
  • Tap the name of the Keypad you wish to adjust.
  • Tap Audio Settings.
  • Then adjust the volume settings as needed.
