No audio from your mobile device to your Ring device

If you can hear audio from your Ring doorbell on your phone, but no sound is traveling from your phone to your Ring Video Doorbell, it is possible that the Ring app does not have access to your microphone. 

Follow the steps below for iOS (Apple) or Android to enable notifications. 

iPhone and iOS - Apple

Follow the steps below to give the Ring app access to your microphone:

  • On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings
  • Select Privacy
  • Select Microphone
  • Ensure that the toggle next to the Ring app is enabled (green) as shown below.

 

Android
