You've taken a big step forward in securing your home! We've updated the Ring Video Doorbell 2 with some exciting new features. Be Sure Your Battery is Fully Charged

Your Ring Video Doorbell 2 comes with a removable, rechargeable battery. Before you finalize your installation, make sure your battery is fully charged. The video below will familiarize you with the process for remove and charging up your Ring Video Doorbell 2 battery.

Run a Video Quality Test

The video below will give you information on how to test your video quality both near your router and outside at the install location. This will help you identify any possible issues related to Internet speed, or Wi-Fi signal strength.

Familiarize Yourself with the Ring App

The video below will help you familiarize yourself with the Ring app, its basic features, and where to find them.

Add Some Shared Users

If you have friends or family members you'd like to have access to your Ring Doorbell, you can add them as a "Shared User."

Customize Your Motion Settings

Adjust your Motion Settings to your specific requirements by selecting the Motion Settings option.

Ring is always working toward improving your home security experience. Beginning October 2020, we’ve begun releasing a new feature for battery-powered devices called Customisable 

Motion Zones. Customisable Motion Zones have been a standard feature on wired Ring devices for some time, but they will soon be an option for Ring neighbors using battery-powered devices.

Change Your Notification Settings

Toggle alerts for Ring or Motion events on or off on this screen. You can also check the battery level of your Ring Doorbell in this section (even if your Ring Doorbell is wired, it still relies on the battery). Click here for more info on hardwired vs. battery powered operation.
