Note: Stick Up Cam (1st Generation) is no longer being manufactured. If you have a newer version of the Stick Up Cam, you can click here for set up information.
While setting up Ring Stick Up Cam, you'll be asked to put the device into setup mode. In order to put the device into setup mode, press and release the orange button on the back of the Stick up Cam.
How do I know that my Stick Up Cam is in setup mode?
You'll know your Stick Up Cam is in setup mode when the small light on the back is pulsing.
Note: Stick Up Cam displays a slightly different light pattern when it's charging than when it's in setup mode. When charging it will blink rapidly as shown in the animation below:
What is setup mode?
When any Ring product is in setup mode, it broadcasts a temporary Wi-Fi network.
During the setup process, the Ring app will connect to this Wi-Fi network to "tell" your Ring product how to connect to your home Wi-Fi network. As soon as your Ring product has been set up in the Ring app, it will stop broadcasting this Wi-Fi network, and stay connected to your home network.
