What is Colour Pre-Roll?
The Colour Pre-Roll feature enables you to view more complete motion events with your Ring Video Doorbell 4. Ring Video Doorbell 4 captures motion four seconds before a motion event is triggered. After these critical seconds of activity are recorded they will be attached to the event clip. If you are subscribed to a Ring Protect plan you will get a video of the event allowing you to have a better look at what's happening outside your door.
Do I need to replace my Ring Video Doorbell or Ring Video Doorbell 3 with the Ring Video Doorbell 4?
No. The original Ring Video Doorbell and Ring Video Doorbell 3 will continue to work as normal and will continue to be supported by Ring.
