Did you know that while you are waiting on the phone queue for an agent you can verify your account for faster service? Customer support verification only takes a few seconds and will authorise your agent to bring up your account while you're waiting, saving you valuable time when your agent comes on the line.
To verify your account, follow these instructions:
- Open the Ring app on your mobile device.
- Tap the three-lined icon in the upper-left hand corner of the screen to open the side menu.
- Tap Control Centre.
- Tap Generate.
- Tap Generate Code.
- Your app will generate a unique six-digit code.
Follow the instructions given on your phone and enter your six-digit code on your phone keypad to verify your account.
Why should I verify my account while I'm waiting for an agent?
Verifying your account while waiting for an agent authorises your agent to call up your account information before they get on the phone with you. This not only saves you valuable time during which you don't have to verify your account verbally with the agent, but also allows the agent to see some basic details of your Ring devices and set up.
Do I lose my place in the queue if I take the time to verify my account?
No. Once you verify your account you'll be placed back into the exact same place in the queue.
Does verifying my account authorise Ring to make any changes to my account on my behalf?
No. Verifying your account only authorises the agent to bring up your account in order to familiarise themselves with your case. Any other changes made in your account will be authorised directly while on the phone with an agent.
