What is Ring Stick Up Cam Battery/Solar (3rd Generation)?
Ring Stick Up Cam Battery and Solar are next-generation security cameras that can be used both indoors and outdoors to bolster the security around your home. Both versions of the Ring Stick Up Cam Battery/Solar feature 1080p full HD resolution, night vision, two-way audio, HD video recording, and a wide viewing angle with multiple power options.
Battery and Solar? What's the difference between the two cameras?
The main difference between the two cameras is how they receive power, The Stick Up Cam Battery is powered by the Quick Release Battery Pack. You can also purchase an Indoor/Outdoor Power Adapter (sold separately) to connect Stick Up Cam Battery to standard outlets for nonstop power. You can also connect it to a Solar Panel (sold separately) to keep your camera charged with direct sunlight.
The Stick Up Cam Solar comes with a solar panel as well as a Quick release Battery Pack. The solar panel requires direct sunlight to keep your device charged. With the Quick Release Battery Pack, though, your camera will have backup power in case you don't have enough sunlight.
Can I mount the Stick Up Cam Battery/Solar to the ceiling or an eave?
Yes. Doing so, however, requires the purchase of a Mount (sold separately) that can be attached to the device.

Can I use the Ring Stick Up Cam Battery/Solar inside?
Yes. Both versions of the Ring Stick Up Cam are indoor/outdoor cameras, so they can be mounted indoors. The solar panel for the Solar version, however, may not be able to generate enough power if mounted indoors.
Is the Ring Stick Up Cam Battery/Solar weatherproof?
Yes. Both versions of the Stick Up Cam are weather-resistant. They were designed to work at temperatures ranging from -20 to 45 degrees Celsius (-5 to 113 degrees Fahrenheit).

What Wi-Fi networks are Ring Stick Up Cam Battery compatible with?
Ring Stick Up Cam is compatible with b/g/n Wi-Fi networks operating on 2.4 GHz frequencies.

Data usage and recording plans
Does Stick Up Cam Battery/Solar use data all the time or just when it's activated?
Ring Stick Up Cam Battery/Solar will only use data when it’s activated by an event or when you access Live View via the Ring app. If Ring Stick Up Cam doesn’t detect motion or isn’t activated with the app, it won’t use your data.
Does Stick Up Cam Battery/Solar keep footage for later review?
It can, however, this requires a subscription to Ring Protect plan, an optional service that allows you to view, save, and share video.

Installation
Where can I mount Ring Stick Up Cam Battery/Solar?
Ring Stick Up Cam can be mounted anywhere indoors or out, it can sit on its own stand or be mounted to a wall or ceiling (with a special universal mount, sold separately), but works best when approximately 1.5 to 2 metres off the ground.

The Ring Stick Up Cam can be adjusted to point in any direction to monitor areas around your home.
How do I charge the battery for my Stick Up Cam Battery?
You will need to use the orange USB cable provided in the package. Plug one end into the battery and the other into an available USB port. When charging you will see both a red and green light. When the battery is fully charged, only the green light will be glowing.
Note: It can take between four and 10 hours to fully charge the battery.
