Pre-Roll and Advanced Pre-Roll
With Pre-Roll or Advanced Pre-Roll, select Ring devices can begin recording video a few seconds prior to motion detection or a doorbell press. This feature requires a Ring Home subscription. Without a Ring Home Plan, Pre-Roll is shown as a picture-in-picture during a Live View when answering an alert. If you tap on the Pre-Roll picture-in-picture, the screen expands and Live View appears as the smaller image. Advanced Pre-Roll is only available on all wired Video Doorbells and Security Cameras.
